Lisbon in April is one of the kindest places I know. Soft light, slow squares, the salt of the Atlantic in everything. We will base ourselves in a small apartment in Alfama and walk a great deal — to the river, to the gardens, to the cliffs at Cabo da Roca on the day we go to the sea.
The shape of the days
- Morning yin practice on the apartment terrace
- A long, slow breakfast
- Walking — usually to a place I love
- An afternoon nap (I will not apologise)
- Evening circle with tea, words, and silence
A note on the city
Lisbon is a city for women who are tired. The hills will tire you in the right way. The food is gentle. The pace is forgiving. You will leave with sturdier ankles and a quieter mind.
